
Sally Homer and Zoë Simpson formed Homer Simpson Productions in 2015 in order to realise a number of long-held ideas and projects. Building on established careers in theatre production, management, touring, marketing and publicity they have a combined 55 years of experience in genres across the live spectrum: from subsidised and commercial theatre to comedy, cabaret, publishing and music.

Sally began her career at the RSC and then worked as Press and Marketing Director at the English Shakespeare Company and the Royal Court Theatre. She was a company director at Borkowski PR where she led numerous arts and corporate campaigns including for Cirque du Soleil, The Artist Formally Known as Prince, Liza Minnelli, L.I.F.T, Shockheaded Peter, Never Mind The Buzzcocks, The Lakes (BBC), Blast Theory and De La Guarda. In 2000 she established Hob Publicity – a tiny agency promoting big clients which have included Stewart Lee, Alexei Sayle, Malcolm Gladwell, Sandi Toksvig, Arthur Smith, Boothby Graffoe, Steve Backshall, Bridget Christie, Jeremy Wade, Simon Munnery, Malcolm McLaren, Doug Stanhope, Dylan Thomas 100 Festival, Sue Perkins and Stephen Fry. She produces The Thinking Drinkers Guide … and has over 20 Edinburgh Fringe Festivals under her belt.

Zoë is an independent producer with a broad track record, from one person plays in fringe theatres to West End and Broadway musicals. In 2014 she co-produced a highly successful UK tour of The Man Jesus by Matthew Hurt starring Simon Callow. Other credits include the London premiere of Honk! by Stiles and Drewe the award-winning New Zealand play No.2 by Toa Fraser and the world premiere of Joe & I by Laurie Slade starring Peter Bowles. Previously she was Associate Producer for Theatre Royal Stratford East and for David Ian Productions during which time the company produced many West End, Broadway and No.1 touring productions including The Sound of Music, Flashdance the Musical (world premiere), The Producers, Cats, Chicago, La Cage aux Folles, Sweet Charity and The Shawshank Redemption. She was Production Coordinator for David Ian’s Grease between 2004 and 2010. Zoë is on the Board of Musical Theatre Network and was recently on a panel assessing over 200 new musical theatre projects at theatres around the UK.
